I bought my first SaluSpa one winter with no clue what I was doing. Within a month I had fought the E02 error, cloudy water, and a leak I couldn’t find. Instead of giving up, I wrote it all down. Hot Tub Rookie is the site I wish I’d had back then.

Owning an inflatable hot tub should be relaxing. But the manuals are thin, the error codes are cryptic, and when something goes wrong most of what you find online is a paywalled Q&A or a 15-second video that doesn't actually solve the problem. I started Hot Tub Rookie to be the resource I couldn't find: clear, step-by-step guides written by someone who has actually made every one of these mistakes.

How we write these guides

Every guide is based on hands-on experience with popular inflatable spas (SaluSpa/Coleman, Intex and similar), the official manufacturer manuals, and the real questions owners ask. When something involves electricity, gas, or anything that could be unsafe, we say so plainly and tell you when to stop and call a professional rather than risk it.
