SaluSpa E02 Error: What It Means and How to Fix It
If your Coleman SaluSpa (or another Bestway inflatable spa) is flashing E02, don’t panic — this is the most common error on these tubs, and nine times out of ten it’s something you can fix yourself in a few minutes.
What E02 means: the pump unit isn’t detecting proper water flow. The spa shuts the heater and pump down to protect itself. It’s a safety cutout, not a broken pump — usually.
Work through these in order. Most people are back up and running by step 3.
1. Check the water level (the 30-second fix)
If the water is below the MIN line on the pump housing, the flow sensor can’t do its job and you’ll get E02. Top the tub up above the minimum line and press the power button again. This alone clears a huge share of E02 errors.
2. Clear an airlock
Air trapped in the pump stops water from circulating. To burp it:
- Turn the unit off at the control panel.
- Slightly loosen the filter housing cap until you hear air hiss out and water starts to seep, then re-tighten it.
- Power back on.
3. Check the filter
A clogged or incorrectly seated filter cartridge is the number-one repeat cause of E02. Remove the filter, rinse it, and make sure it’s seated properly. If it’s grey and matted, replace it — filters are cheap and a tired filter will keep tripping the error.
4. Inspect the intake and outlet grates
Debris or a deflated liner pressing against the intake grate inside the tub can choke water flow. Clear anything covering the grates.
5. Still getting E02?
If you’ve topped up the water, cleared the airlock, and fitted a clean filter and it still won’t clear, the flow sensor or pump may be faulty. At that point contact Bestway support with your model number — this is a warranty-repair situation, not a DIY electrical fix. Never open the sealed pump housing or attempt electrical repairs yourself.
